well as i stated i was walking down the street and was having a bad day when i glanced right and there was a 70 orange mav sitting there! iv only
seen two in my area that were drivable.well i asked the owner if he would part with the car? he sead he would for 2500 no less! well hears my deal i think 1800 is worth it. hears the pros and cons of the car.

pros. new gas tank, new brk lines, and tires, sml bumpers,it drives strait, mint head liner, crack free grill with emblem.crack free dash pluss its all blk. solid
like new floor and no torq box leaks, solid hood lip.comet delux gas cap,all lights work.pluss its in original vista orange paint which is my fav.

cons. 4 lug,all drum, 200 six that suprizingly runs raggity, a deep dent buy the rear ext, passenger door has nasty compound dent.needs a repaint bad.int is mint doun too the carpet but needs seats bad.164 thow on speedo, two dime size rust holes in rear qwarters, missing rear valance and front is dented up, pluss the owner thinks its rair gold, needs bath and rear shocks.

but its mainly a cosmetic project that is crying for a set of buckets and a v8 i put the car on a lift at v.i.p and they were empressed the car is from
vermont and its mint unerneath .is it worth 2500 to deal with dents enstead of rust this time? i could drive it and restore it at the same time?
pluss iv never seen a factory 70 in vista orange? under the trunk told me that it is factory? i thaught they came out in 73 with that color? to pay out the cash or not too? i cant decide if 2500 is too high for a neer rust free driver?

I think it's high for 6 cylinder car, but if it's worth it too you that's what matters.:)

im walkin because my comet is getting perfected in the garage. i was thinken the same thing. 2000 and keep the extra 5 in my pocket and if he bites use it on the car for fluid change and stuff like that. i just think a little sea foam and a carb rebuild are in order and it will run fine too.

Use the loot to buy a mid 90s Geo Prism and drive it while your real car is being completed. 30 mpg and super simple and cheap to own and work on.
    I love mine.
