Is there any universal frame mounting kit that i can get that could be used instead of the frame mounts for v8 maverick because i cant seem to get my hands on any of them from doner v8 cars. Or is there any sort of substitute
You should grab those... that is pretty much what they trade for. If you decide to find something else, there are other options, but I don't see them being any cheaper than what Mavaholic is offering there. Your other options deal with older Falcon/Mustang frame stands and engine mounts, and just because of age, they can be just as hard to come by, even with a strong Mustang market. Good luck
autoworks http://www.autoworksracing.com/ has made some adjustable mounts for the maverick. they made them for jayman. they pretty trick. you can move the motor forward or back and up or down with them.
Are they just engine mounts, or does it include the frame mount too? The engine side mounts are dirt cheap at Advance, it's the frame mounts that are expensive. I would buy high dollar adjustable mounts if they did away with the stock frame stands as well.
...and for $250 it should replace the oil and filter every 3,000 miles and a radiator flush every 25,000...
i have a set of...frame mounts w/bolts...belly bar w/bolts...v8 throttle cable and gas pedal i would sell as a package deal for that...shipped ...:Handshake...
i agree that 250 is way to much for them. i just knew of them and put them out there as an option. i personaly welded some plates on the side of my stock mounts to make them solid.
Just curiosity but I tried putting the v8 frame mounts on today and all the holes dont line up. I was never told about how to put them on I mean is there a certain trick or should they fit in the original I6 mount holes. I mean Im no dummy but they DONT fit.
They should fit right over where the I6 mounts used to be, held on by 3 bolts.. the offset goes to the rear of the car.
Instead of frame mounts I bolted 66 Mustang engine mounts right to the frame horns with 3/4" spacers between the mounts and the block.
