on MAF EFI systems... what kind of hydraulic flat tappet cam can be used with out driving the EEC crazy?

stock efi from mustang can go pretty big till you need bigger injectors than you need a aftermarket maf or tune

yes you can if you can run a hydraulic roller cam

76 non roller block.... im gonna run a hydr. flat tappet... cant afford to do roller

 

the fuel injection should be able to compensate pretty well. the maf systems are really flexable.

 

You want a cam with a wide LSA, something like 112*-114* and above. The overlap in lesser LSA cams is what screws with the idle quality.
