Maybe you could fabricate it, check out this Mav in Mercadolibre: http://articulo.mercadolibre.com.mx/MLM-27841176-maverick-1974-_JM Scroll the pictures until you get to the engine bay pic. I think it looks and works great.
Yea, I wanted to post on it, becaues I thought they both had to be modified but I wasn't sure. If they both have to be modified I'd try to fabricate my own. If your dead set on modifying one then buy the cheaper one and go from there
Easy to make but I will throw this out there if I could get like 10 of these made would any of you guys be interested in them? How much are the mustangs going For?
I wonder if this would fit(er...could be modified to fit) in a Mav with a 351 and fuel injection? If it could, I'd want one.
Looks like you'd be better off making your own for a 351 with fuel injection. This way you get what you want. Powdercoating and chroming is some what expensive, but it'd still be cheaper than buying a nice one and cutting it up and trying to make it work.
What has to be done to make one of these fit in a "normal" Maverick? Does it have to be shortened in some way?
The distance between the shock towers and firewall is around 3" longer for the Mustang. Side to side I"m not sure but it is wider. I wrote a tech article a long time ago on how to use a Mustang export brace in a Maverick. It wasn't put here but was published in Short Horns. I have since converted it to a PDF file. If I could figure out how to post a PDF file in the tech section, I would.
