well i had a blowout a few days ago. finally found some nice used tires (not paying $800 for a new set to do the same damn thing) and i put them on today at a friends garage. was out driving it around and the next thing you know, i get that nice sweet antifreeze smell coming from my vents and it starts fogging up my windshield.... so what do ya know, i need a heater core. ive had more trouble out of my car in 7 days than i have in 7 months :(

heck just by-pass it until you get time...money or whatever to fix it, then you can make the show.

If its no AC its not a bad job at all. Did mine in the car over my lunch hour. You will need to bend a tool to pop off the box clips on the upper right side. Short of that its a quicky. I took the heater hoses off under the hood and pulled them out with the core. Installed new hoses and clamps and back in it went. Nice to have heat and defrost up here in the evening and morning.
