Came across a photo of a Maverick that ran in the Modern Stock division years ago at Wall Stadium in Belmar, New Jersey. Wall Stadium is a paved oval track that has come back alive 1n 2009 after being closed for 08. The rules for these ground huggers, back then, had them running only 6 cylinders.
Build a car this low and re-correct the geometry for the drop in ride height and they go through the turns like a slot car. I'm checking on the year it ran.
Another one Wall Stadium, NJ. Gary Hartdorns #36 car. I'm sure that this photo was taken at a practice session before the season started explaining the absence of the car number or sponsors.
