Hey guys and girls could anyone who has pics of theres or anyones after market shock tower support kits that have the bars that go from the fire wall to the shock towers and also have the ones that go from the shock towers in front of the carb from shock tower to shock tower for more support . I need close up pics as a friend of mine who builds elevator parts and uses stainless steel alot sais he will fabricate a set for me out of stainless steel from his shop but he needs pics to get a good idea of what is needed to make a great set up for me. Thanks James
check out :mean green 74 maverick post it may help with a shock tower brace and rally bar ,(in front of dizzy) sounds like a cool idea to have 'em in stainless. later steve.
I think you seen the Monte Carlo bar & shock tower braces, on the Mean Green 74 Maverick. I can get better pictues & email them to you.
Captain Ron has a sweet set-up~! It was made by a person on this board. It was shipped to me and then I got it to Ron......and it almost didn't make it to him
Thanks, that would be great Coop, i still would like to see others that have similar ones from other companies so i can get a good idea of what i want . I have seen some were the bar goes between the distributor and the carb from shock tower to shock tower , i would still like to see others pics that have similar shock tower support . thanks Jimmy
Fishoutofwater, thanks ,thats what i was lookig for great design ,great pic ,i still want to see pics of Captain Rons .
Hey good day mate. John: that set up you shipped to me , I gave to another mav guy. I now have something very similar to the 1 posted by fishouttawater. Mine is DOM steel, with rod ends and all powder coated. Have left hand threads on 1 end so that you can loosen or tighten up the suspension.Have a straight bar inbetween carb and dizzy goin shock tower to shock tower. U will see it maybe this July.
Some more pics. Kinda hard to see now, with black background...Mine are painted with POR-15, but could as well have been powdercoated or made out of stainless. The guy (fan2488) that made them also made a set with a straight bar across the front to miss Rick Book's fuel injection setup. So that bend could be made to fit around any sized distributor or intake.
