I decided to take a deep look under the hood today, the cars been running fine with exception to the past 2-3 days...I need some help determining what these things are...I could easily replace them and not ask, but Id like to know what each one does if you guys would like to help me out.

FIRST ISSUE - Both of these lines are broken, the yellow one was so fragile it broke when I touched it...the red one was already broken

ISSUE 2 This wire that appears to run to the alternator was cut...do I need it? Or was it just used for something else? I cannot find the other end to it.

ISSUE 3 - This line that runs to the carb was also broken...my poor carb...lol...I also have no idea where the lines partners are...

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and if anyone has a rough estimate on how much it would cost to fix this please tell...lol...also, how to I get the broken ends out of the manifold? Do they just snap out?

FIRST ISSUE =the yellow one is a vac line wich will make a very high idle.
the red one + early egt exust gas temp which can cause an gxust leek a ruff idle
5/16 vac line from napa is very cheep. just mach the size and length and you have your fix good luck with your doubl 7 mav.

I have noticed a higher then normal idle in the past 2-3 weeks, I also noticed rough idling, nice to know thats where my problem is more then likely coming from. :)

How do I pop the coupler out from the manifold? does it just pop out? I also couldnt see the cap on the other line that runs under the manifold...is it the same kind as the other?

I doubt any of those broken lines are manifold vacuum. That last one with a connector may go to a vacuum switch on or near the t stat housing. Looks like you have a 200 which I am not familure with tho... answers are general.
That piece in the exhaust manifold could become a task. I would try getting under the stop ridge and lightly pry it, maybe with dikes/wire cutters and angled needle nose for leverage. Good luck...

Its a 250, not sure if theres any difference in them or not.

I'll try to pry them out...see what happens :hide:

the red one is not egr its a heat tube for the choke. it will only slow the opening of the choke.
the yellow vac line looks like it goes to the top of the carb. if so then it shouldnt have a effect on how the car runs. its probly emissions vent line.
a vac. leak will cause it to idle low. you should be able to put your finger over the lines pluging them up while the motors running. when the idle comes up when you cover the line youve found your prolbem. now you just need to figure out where it goes.
the pic of the alt wire isnt clear enough. if its still chargeing then i suspect its a ground wire. it should be fixed if its obvious where it goes

All the vacuum leaks I have ever found would create a higher idle...:hmmm:

fuel injection will do that. a carb that is properly tuned will drop the idle. if the carb is rich the idle will go up.
