Ive found a killer dealin a 90 model 5.0 and aod out of a E250 van.I know I will have to swap to a front sump pan and timing cover combo. But I want to be able to run EFI on this motor I plan to use everything I can from the van including the frame mounted fuel pump and harness (if adaptable) What suprises can i expect to find? Also has this been done before?

And I think you won't be able to use stock shock tower braces.

you can find stock mustang intakes for cheap if not for free all the time. try checking on mustang sites, at performace shops that have a heavy mustang slant on them and try posting wanting one on craigs list. ive given away and thrown away at least 4 of them. the vans computer and wireing harness should work with that intake.

You don't want to use the truck stuff. The #1 reason is the ECM is totally different. It only pulses injectors twice. 4 at a time. The cars are sequential & pulse injectors individually as required per cylinder. The cars are better for fuel economy & horsepower! The trucks were designed to pull a stump out of the ground.

The reason I wanted to use the truck parts was I could had gotten them for free.Im probly the most NON efi person in the world but this seemed like a cheap way to go and i figured i would give it a chance.Looks like I will just swap on a carb and intake. I appreciate everyones input and help.
