I like the sound of the cheap Thrust turbos. FlowMasters to me are too high pitched sound and have a drone at highway speeds.

    I like 3 chamber anything.

I have and like the Dynomax turbo mufflers. Low sound without the droning like will happen with the 2 chamber mufflers.

I use Edelbrock's and lovem. They set off all kind of alarms and I just laugh when that happens. corvette guys get pissed.

For a deeper tone, I like cheap ole $15 glasspacks. http://scooper77515.fordmaverick.net/jpgs/dellaroar.mp3

But I wanted a little more aggressive so I now have dual Flowmaster Super44s. http://scooper77515.fordmaverick.net/jpgs/super44installed.mp3

    Super44s inside the car...http://scooper77515.fordmaverick.net/jpgs/44insidemp3.mp3

and outside the car in the garage...http://scooper77515.fordmaverick.net/jpgs/44outsidemp3.mp3

Keep in mind, I did this all with a tape recorder converted to digital on my computer, and it isn't quite as tinny and rattly sounding as in person, but this will give you a general idea how it sounds. Here is the setup...

That was all on my stock block 302, Performer plus cam, Torker289 intake with Edel 600cfm carb.

It sounds a little different on my new motor.

I have glasspacks (PURPLE HORNIES) on mine....the sound is viscous, but too loud for everyday driving. I am not one of those people who, because I have them on my car "they are the best" :16suspect Being realistic I would not want the hornies on a driver and Flowmaster's....well anyways.
*I have reserached and if I buy a high $$$ set, I will go with MAGNAFLOW , they seem to be more of the sound and performance I would want for my application.

Yeah, kind of. I just document everything i do on my car. I have made several changes over the years.

One night I couldn't sleep, and figured I would teach myself how to do some html, and made my own website. Only thing of interest at the time was the maverick, so I started the Della website...and these items were posted on it for informational purposes (which is why I am describing the resonance inside the car).

Link to the site is at the bottom of my post, between the two pics, if you are interested.

I agree with John "Pinky". I am not stating that these are the best, or even good mufflers. I am just posting what they sound like in our 302 setups so you can make your own choice. They are clearly loud, and not really good for a daily driver unless you don't mind it being a loud daily driver, which I don't mind. They are very loud, and tend to get other people's attention on the streets. That could be bad, if the other people drive black and white cars.:16suspect

Right on. I used to do that to one of the guys here at work. Whenever I moved the Mav in or out I'd find his car give her a stomp on the gas. Set off his alarm every time. Good fun.:yahoo:

john, i too am running purple hornies on my cars. they are loud but thats the way i like it. i have fun in parking lots and garages setting off alarms as i idle thru. i was running 2 1/2 flowtech afterburners but it had too much restriction. sounded good but killed horsepower. bolted on the hornies and gained almost 20 h.p.. be warned they are not for the faint of heart.
part-time has the flowmasters and in my opinion they have a tinny sound to them. i believe his are 2 chambered but i am not sure. the hornies will most definetly drown out the flowmasters.
