I sold my 74 Comet 4dr 302 about 3 years ago. It's cream colored, white vinyl top & tan interior w/factory bucket seats. I had put dual exhaust w/turbo mufflers & sucked in the front bumper. I got a 73 Comet GT 302 & $200 for it. I told the guy if he ever got rid of it, I want first crack at it. I really didn't want to sell it. But the guy hounded me, cause he needed a daily driver. It had been my daily driver. To make a long story short. He called me last week & wanted to know if I wanted the Comet? How much do you want for it? He told me I could have it. It's not running at this time. He said it overheated. Could be a head gasket. I told him, of course I want the car. Today it was delivered. It really needs to be cleaned. It's been sitting for quite sometime. Gotta love Karma. Very nice Christmas gift indeed. Now I can have something to do this spring. I'd work on it this winter, but I don't have a heated garage. Here's some pictures, enjoy!

    thats cool.
Glad you got it back.....and it was great of the guy to ask you first.
I had a similar situation some years back, the guy did not honor my request.

you don't need a heated garage as much as you need an umbrella. Congratulations on getting it back. :)

That's true. We do get more rain during the winter & spring months. At least we hardly ever get snow. I can live with that part of it....

I do know how nice that feels. I was able to buy my very first car ('72 Grabber) back after 25 years. Kind of the same story, I sold it to a friends mother back in 1980 or so, she passed it on to my friend and I got it back 3 years ago. It still needs more work then I have money but it is mine and it is home where it belongs.

That was nice of him to let you have first chance at it, plus it being free!
