i dunno if It's my phone limiting the ability to search or if It's messed up but a hand would be nice here. another thread has got me curious. i have a 90 351w with police interceptor package hence saying fancy computer. i'm curious what it would take to stuff that motor under our hoods to do up a revised police edition maverick. so if anyone knows how to accomplish this feat or can hook me up with some links i would be much appreciated

you need a front sump oil pan for a W, headers that fit and a 4bbl intake manifolt

since im 99.9% sure that motor is still flat tappet get yourself a DSII dizzy with a iron gear and drop it in

    then get yourself a 28o 157 tooth flywheel/flexplate

after that it bolts up juat as any other 302 would in a maverick

    duraspark II distributer

or some other kind of distributer that is compatable with whatever ignigtion system you plan to run

needs to have an iron cam gear unless you retro fit a roller cam

I wouldn't plan on expecting great things from this Windsor. About the only thing special about it is a flat tappet HO cam. I thought they had carbs till the end too, but in two barrel form. Other than the cam all the other parts will be the same as you'd find in a Windsor from the same year pickup truck.

If you're going to do a MII front, then the big block is the way to go. Anything will fit then.
