Well I finally went and did it. My son and I bought a Maverick. 1971 drk green, 250cid, auto, air, ps, vinyl top. 44k on the speedo. Interior looks new, outside has small dings and dents everywhere. We are planning on making a grabber clone. I thought this site would be a great place to start. I was always into Falcons and Fairlanes previously. Starting the search for a rear spoiler, trim rings and center caps. Wheels are 14 x4.5, car needs tires and Im not sure what the bigest ones that will fit on these wheels. I figured either 195 or 205 /70 14's. Any opinions out there on tire size. I'll be back to post later, Im doing this from work. Great site Guys!!!
    Bob

    Welcome aboard Bob. :Handshake
You can actually get some very large tires on that baby. I'm running 275 60r15's on the rear of mine which is about the biggest you can get and have them tucked under the rear wheel lip. Lots of guys are running 255's and getting a little more clearance. I don't suggest going wider than 8" rims though...if you go with 15 wheels at all. The 14" wheels and trim rings look good on these cars too but you're kinda limited on the larger tires although I do believe (not positive) you can get a 6" wide stock wheel.
Good luck with the car and post pics when you can. (y)

I want to stay with the factory 14x4.5 wheels for now. Looking to find out what is the largest for the original 4 lugers ...
