i was thinking of just drilling 3/8 holes in the front subframe. Is their any problem with that my first intention was to weld nuts but i sold my welder back in july.
Small bumper swap?...i used 1/2" bolts....drilled through and put a large washer on each side...about 4 years and no problem... ...Frank... i made this up to use... MG]
when i did a mock-up i had to enlongate one of the holes in the filler panel. did anyone else have to do this?
i used the diagram frank posted and it came out perfect i just trimed back the rubber filler panel under the grill so it would tuck into the back of the bumper
bolts in filler panel should not change...i just cut/trimmed off the part that goes under/behind/inside the bumper...
Yhats what i didn't understand, when i put the new filler panel up to the old plastic one the bolt holes lined up, but when i went to mount it..it didn't fit. heres a mock up pick... http://img99.imageshack.us/my.php?image=hpim0778sv1.jpg I'm going to try to trim the plastic one and see if it fits better than the tin one.
