Ok, so here's the deal....I was driving around my town when I noticed a car sitting under a tarp....I noticed the hubcaps being fairly old fords....So I knocked on the door and said "Do you want to sell the old car under the tarp?" he didn't speak very well, his son translated most of our words...He said, "Yes the body needs work but the motor is very good and the A/C works, give me 200 dollars...Got a clear title." So I asked what is it, he pulled off the tarp and it was a 1977 Maverick. straight 6, auto and A/C, sure enough it fired right up and drove great. The only problem was it had a vinal top which rusted away alot by the rear quarter windows....Think 200 bucks was a fair deal?

Sounds like a very fair price.....even if it is a parts car.

you already sold it that quick?

you cant beat $200. you could trade it in for scrap and make a profit at that price

No, no, don't plan on selling it any time soon, it runs to good. for that, I plan on restoring it and driving it.

    ahhh i see.

quite frankly id be more intimidated at restoring that room then actual motor work. but im good at one and bad at the other, so to each his own :)

    good luck with her!

 Room? You have me a little confused.......Oh well. If I can ever find an interior kit (Headliner carpet and seat covers) I'll be good to go. Paint it back blue and go for it. Was it normal for these to come with Power steering/ Power brakes and A/C with a 250 I6? Or was this stuff all special order?
