L50watts is doing one of the nicest 4.6 swaps out there IMO... DOHC '01 Cobra engine and '03 Mach 1 front seats with the Maverick rear seat upholstered to match. I can't wait to see this car finished, it's going to be awesome!

Had to be at least a 96+ mustang motor... all the 95 and below v-8 cars were 5.0's. (y)

    I LIKE this one ...

As some future project, I have in mind a chopped '34 3 window coupe done up as a modernized 60s gasser. No hood or fenders, zoomie headers, 12 spoke front wheels, huge M/T Sportsman tires out back kinda tucked into the body,... and a motor just like this ...

I have had this in mind for a couple of years ... very cool to see that someone is actually doing it. I just think that if you squint at it a bit, it looks a whole lot like a Boss 429. :thumbs2:

That Boss 290 would be awesome in our '95.

Thanks for that bit of info.

And I would U/L some pics but they are all on my cell phone, and for some reason I can't U/L them to the computer.

Been in touch with a guy over on the Modular Ford site. Trying to get a 98 Cobra engine off him. He makes a kit to stuff a 5.4 Navi block with Cobra 4v heads into 96+ Mustangs. Anyone thinking building a nasty DOHC should check that site out.

Modular engines are getting cheaper. I bet you'll be seeing more and more pop up in hot rods. Now if my tax credit would just get here...
