i got this for really cheap and figured it would perform a little better then the stock 2v intake and it seemed kind of mild so im hoping it suits the stock cam well and probably wont need too much carb. im thinking a 600cfm would be all i needed? the intake its self has split runners that are devided horizontally. looks really torkey i couldnt find much on the web about this model though
I hope you paid no more than the going scrap aluminum prices for it. It's not a performance part. It's about as good as the late 70's Edelbrock SP2P intake
A friend of mine ran one of those in the early 70s on his basically stock 302 Mav. It's not a high rpm piece but it, along with an adjustable timing chain, really woke his car up. The Holley 600 DP probably didn't hurt either.
Exactly what I was thinking. That intake with a 600 Edelbrock and dual exhaust will increase the performance over a 2-bbl as well the gas mileage. If you make mods to the cam and heads, you'll need a better intake.
I had a Dual-port on my 351w until about 4 years ago...picked up just over .5sec in the quarter by going to an Edelbrock RPM intake! It worked...until something better came along!
