I can't say that I've ever had a bad time at one of our Dixie Maverick meets, but when I look back, that one was definitely the highlight of all the meets I've attended so far. From the eatin', to cruising all the Mavericks together to the car show, to the late night BS session where several of us stood around out in the parking lot in front of Denny's into the late hours of the night just talking about Maverick stuff in general, I still look back on that as the best time I've ever had at one of our meets. I wish all the pictures were still up on the link in that thread.

 

whatever happened to the commerce ga. run?

 

We had a blast at this years FFW in Commerce. We had 10 Mavericks in all IIRC, 9 of them board members including mine.

 

I just updated the first post in that thread to point to the location of the pictures.

 

if we are looking at a..."meet and eat"...let's meet at Summit and go to...Baby Jane's Cafe...for some down home cooking....

It will need to planned on the 3rd Saturday of the month.

I suppose that would be August 15.

 

Seeings as how we just had our last big meet just over a month ago, I think we should wait till around October-ish... That would give a couple of us here time to try and get our projects streetable, and give anyone else who wants to come plenty of time to plan around it. But I'll come no matter when it is.

 

I'll do it in the Fall ... when it cools down ... and maybe some of the traffic issue clear in Atlanta ...

 

I've been thinking along the same lines as Jamie and Dan on one for October.
