sound and heat deadening the race car

    Well guys and gals ,when i got the 71 grabber race car a new tranny was put in but the new carpet kit wasnt ,i pulled the front and back seats out and put a torch on rubber brai in ,like peel and stick ,but you heat one side till it almost melts and lays in every nook and cranny ,after that i layed in a tinfoil and bubble wrap type insulation that you use for wrapimg water tanks. I decided that im not going to put the new carpet kit in myself,i will have this done by a pro because of the 6 legs of the roll cage that have to be cut in just perfect so it has that show car look . heres a few pics ,enjoy:thumbs2:

    looks nice. my first impression is why do you sound deadend a race car? next question is how much weight is all the sound deading adding?

    Im sound and heat deadening it because its a sreet/strip car ,more strip than street and the he heat in the car is really high in the summer and its so loud in there when you driving to a car show you cant hear you AC/DC THUNDER STRUCK . As for the weight about 4 lbs ,as for that i lost 2 lbs and added 20 hp to make up the differance:thumbs2: cheers

    it's worth it. i put the same stuff in the Frank used before i put my carpet in and love it :)
