if someone can help me with a maverick i need to know how rare a 1971 grabber is thats lime green with all options available that year.i need to know if its rare or just another grabber.
That is definetly true. When They released the mav, I believe the first year run had more made than the first year stang. I used to see mavs almost as much as the old vw bug. Now when I see one, even if it looks like crap, I get all excited. The longer we keep our cars, the more desirable and rare they will become. In answer to your question, when was the last time you saw a lime green 71 grabber running around?
The color, "lime green": Are you sure it isn't "Grabber Green" (probably not, I think now only the '70 Maverick Grabber and the '70 Mustang Boss came in Grabber Green????). Okay, guys, who has the link to the Grabber Green Maverick? (owner's pics?) Side note: Mine was originally Grabber Green. It is definetly a unique color (not lime). I just don't know if I want to go back to it or not. Right now, my preference is to paint it simliar to Ray P's (black on red). Decisions, decisions.
maverick no its not grabber green it is a color called grabber lime witch was available in 1971 im not sure if it was available in 70 or 72 but was in 71 if you research it you will find this to be true i assure you.i do know the color grabber green i have owned one before. this color lime was on the grabber in order to compete with dodge and chevy in 71 couse there colors where so loud like panther pink and hugger orange plum crazy purple and orbit orange and so on.i will place a picture on here soon of this car so everyone can see this color it is truly a sight.
Guys; my car is Grabber Green. Sorry I don't have a picture. The Grabber Green car you referred to is Shawn Simpson's Grabber, and it is a beauty. The code is 1970 'Z' code green, and the other reference is a Mitsubishi Calypso Green, 1980 version. Go figure! Hope this helps, Earl
