Alarm System

    Any ideas on what brands how to go about this? i decided not to pay someone cause i really dont have the money and plus whats more fun then working on your mav? so yea any ideas? things to watch out for tips? OH and i was planning on adding a killswitch ontop of the alarm system. hay nay? oh yea and since im in cheap mode i was lookin at some stuff on ebay like nothing over 100 bucks.

    lol what is a .38.? and i originally didnt bother but man i was with some friends and someone broke into his car and stole some stuff so just to be on the safe side im gonna have one.

    You won't find a good alarm for under 100 bucks. Just leave you car unlocked, and don't leave anything good in it. All a kill switch will do is piss someone off even more after they smash the crap out of your steering column.

    i'd rather have a smashed steering colom then a missing car..

    lol yea or a cheap alarm system to possibly buy me more time to get to my car. instead of a missing one lol

    Get you a relay, a toggle switch and some wire. Put the toggle switch in the left front fender well and run a wire from the dome light circuit to the toggle switch, and then on to the relay. Then run another wire from the battery to the relay and from the relay to the horn. Now when the toggle switch is on, and someone opens the door, the horn blows. Or I guess you could run it off the alternator so that the horn just blows continuously when they start the car. Guaranteed to be as effective as any <$100 system.
