Not yet, but I guess I should soon. I was also thinking about Carlisle, I might end up at the "Key Stone" inn again.

This weekends update: O.K. Exhaust manifold installed, and carb rebuilt. I removed all smog equipment and various vacuum hoses and check valves. Fired her up....she runs very well. Previously, the egr valve was malfunctioning and not even hooked up correctly, but it ran pretty good. It runs amazingly better now!!

I also changed all the spark plugs, air filter, crankcase filter, and pvc valve. WOW!! were all the spark plugs fouled out from bad egr set-up. It is amazing the car ran at all!!

I flushed out the radiator this weekend. I decided to go ahead and remove the radiator and have it boiled out at a radiator shop. With the big trip ahead of me and running the AC...I can't afford for the car to overheat on me...or even run a little warm. While I am at it, I will replaced the radiator "flex" hoses (boo, hiss!!!) put on by the previous owner and put on the correct "pre-formed" radiator hoses, I will change to a 160 thermostat, and put on all new v-belts. Old hoses and v-belts will be saved and placed in the trunk for emergencies.

It is very difficult to not "detail" things while I am at this stage. It would be so easy to let the "While I'm at it" bug to take over and start painting and detailing things. I REALLY have to fight the urge. I keep reminding myself that I am going to DRIVE this car!!

O.K.....I gave in a little and detailed a few things. Just a few!!! I will post some pictures when complete.

I whill be driving both of mine. I will drive the 73 on the drag race day if we have it again, and the 1972 on the day of the show... If my Dad comes I might have them both there for the day of the show. I'll let him drive the 1972 and I get to drive the 73 with the V8 and 4 speed. hehehehe actually if he comes I'll prolly let him run the 73 down the track a couple times as long as he knows he has to pay for whateve he breaks hahahaha... Dad and I have that kind of relationship. he is retired and owns his own side business, so he should be the one with all the toys and hobbies but instead I have them all and I let him play with them when he wants to.

oh and as far as what I need to do to them befor ethe show... they need to be cleaned and waxed and oil changed and fluids checked and that is about it.. It's only about 200 miles round trip to and from the roundup last year and I drove all 3 days I went for a total of close to 600 miles... I think I might get a room on Friday and Saturday night this year and me Dad and the my Son just stay up there and hang out with everyone
