ok i got a whole 5 speed tremec swap and im putting it in my car. will my factory drive shaft work or will it need to be cut? if i have to cut it ill just go to aluminum. any ideas from anyone who has done the 5 speed swap? i guess im worried about the splines and the length of the drive shaft

i think it will have to be cut. but i have also read about people using the 79-93 mustang drive shaft, which is also available aftermarket in aluminum. ill be doing this very soon as well :) keep us posted

I'm using 79-93 driveshaft with my t5. It was close enough to not have to cut. Is your tremec a newer model like '96 or '97?

If you need to get a driveshaft made for it, there are aluminum shafts in Aerostar vans. Should be pretty cheap to grab one of them and get it shortened.

I have a T5, and used the stock drive shaft, with no mods. Try your stocker and see if it fits.
