Whole lot of rust

not my car, but one of our newest members car killermaverick's 74 mav

me and killercomet worked on her car today, but we found MORE rust...

the cowl is just horriable, really rusty, soft as a soda can, floors have some rust, the trunk has a good bit, front frame rail is rotted away...so we had to pull the plug on her , its pretty rough

we got the worthy parts off and its headed to the junker soon

i should have gotten more pics of the rear spring shackle area and front frame rails

its bad, it can be built but depends on how much wants to be spend on it

eddie....how about pulling the wiring harness off for me

its coming back off the trailer next week, we are keepin the engine and trans and rear as they are all good, oh and the hood as it is very good

we tried and bent the driver side a bit

ill give it a try again, it looks great, just about perfect

 

I used a small pair of channell locks with a piece of fuel line stuck on to one side and gently worked it off from one end to the other.

 

It's up to you, but Joe will probably reproduce all the part needed to bring back to life this car!

 

This is true, I would have somewere around 20 G's restoring a 74 Standard 6cly Maverick...... No Thanks
It is very bad Eddie didnt even come close with those pics.

I have a lead on 2 71's and a 72 the 71 has a clutch ill be pickng it up this week and looking at the others. One is suposed to have a rust free Grabber Hood...

 

yeah 74 isnt exactly rare , overnight a hole in the floor board appeared almost big enough to get a fist though
