Maverick1970...GREAT article on the accelerator pumps.

I need more information like that to tune this carb up.

Starting to think it would be cheaper and easier to buy a new Street Avenger...

:idea:Holley has a book out that shows "how to". I think I have it in my tool box side cabinet. You want me to send it to you if I find it? It isn't very big so don't think it will take long to get your answers...

I would love to borrow it, Gene. I just really need to figure out which end is up on the Holley. It took me a couple years to figure out the Edelbrock, and these are two COMPLETELY different beasts. I don't want to spend 2 years figuring this one out.

You wont. It's easy... they are realy simple. I like it for that and the performance it has, the Holley. Some don't like it and some do. You will be the judge of that.
    I'll send it tomorrow...
I take it you got the pic...?

Oh, that thing...I didn't know what to do with it. It came up as sprint.com/woiuncy89869/09870j7907 or something

And I couldn't figure out what to do with it. And I couldn't figure out who sent it. I guess my phone is not capable, or set up to accept pictures over it.

The Edelbrock comes with a pretty good "little" booklet, that goes into the carb theory MUCH more than 98% of us want to go.

But, there is enough there to figure out the tuning needs, and how to do it.

I bought my Holley 3rd hand, so there is no book. So, if I don't get decent documentation from Gene, it will be some seriously weird learning curve for me...

And, by the way, that 36 pages...you only need to read about 6 of them. The rest is tuning for odd circumstances like 5000+ feet altitude, and other fairly odd situations that most of us won't ever have to deal with.

:hmmm:Far less pages than this book. I am afraid to tell you how many pages...
208 includes the index and the intro. Of course, it also includes other closely related carbs used with other fuels. I enjoy reading it for the things I want to know. I found it and began looking through it and started getting into it cause I do find fine tuning carbs intresting. The pics of bad azz carbs on intakes makes me feel intrigued :D
