Sure, the 2.3 would be a great motor, and FLY if you built it up with say, an Esslinger head, Weber carb setup, heavy cam, yadda yadda. Got the scratch? Would run you several thousand. Alternatively, why not build yourself a beefed up inline 6? Not something people see every day.... Chris
oh i have a 250I6 i plan to beaf up, im just playing around with differnt ideas before i decide on on particular thing. but i think i will use my spare 250 250I6: 260h cam biggger intake and exhaust valves 2bbl crb on adapter pertronix system headers port polish vroom vroom
250's are the original engines for my cars year, i dont want to run tha risk of blowing up one of them
check out some of the turbo builds over on fordsix, you could probably run a turbo on your stock engine if you keep the boost pressure on the low side and its a healthy engine to begin with its a mustang but you get the idea
there was a long thread a while back about inline 4 motor swaps. they were an optinal engine in brazil, you just need to get a hold of the motor mounts or make your own. but the final outcome was that the turbo or something took up too much room on the side of the engine and wouldnt fit between the shock towers
i was just looking but couldnt find it... but i remember it was a few pages long but maybe you'll be luckier with the search function then me
