First off, thanks for the response to my original post. I found myself just down the road from Don near the end of my trip, so I decided to stop by his place. I wish I had time to go and meet everyone in the area, but my folks kept me busy as they only see me a couple times a year. Don, my dad, and I had a great chat and checked out all of Don's projects. Don, again, it was good to see you again and I hope I can get my '71 to Missouri this year. I'm attaching a pic of me and the man himself, as well as some indoor skydiving I did right around the corner from his place.
WOW!!! LOOK!! Its Elvis with the VP! It is always good when you get to meet up with someone from the Mav/Com community. I did that indoor skydiving in Pigeon Forge, Tn. once but I liked skydiving for real better. Had to quit because of money. Cars are more fun and the family can come along for the ride. Bruce, car or no car you better be there in July.
glad to see you had a good time. Don's a blast to be around! BTW, i think the pic makes Don look a lil better.... ...
Bruce, it was great to see you again. And to meet your dad. He's a real nice guy. I enjoyed talking to him. Yeah it was cool. You gotta remember I'm used to hot weather. Cool is cold to me. Hope to see you again in july at the Gathering in Joplin. The pic makes me look good for being 84 years old.
Always nice to see people meeting up in our community. Bruce the Gathering is closer than last year. Joplin is July
It was pretty chilly at the time, it was getting late in the day and the nights were in the 40's that week. Allan, that's closer for you, it's actually 4 miles further from my starting point! The car should have a GT scoop, grabber spoiler, and 3.40's by then....we'll see if she's highway ready.
If you were buying I would have come too. I got a call from Mavdog71 at 9 a.m. this morning. He was in El Paso. Gonna be here this afternoon.
