    Yup, saw it...

Yes, I was looking at Soupbone's "listings" earlier today - it was pretty exhaustive. Seems like a very good resource. Hey, BTW, sent you an email.

If you are ever in the Houston area, there are a few of us that would gladly show off our cars.

Welcome to DFW Chris. I'm on the North side of Fort Worth in Roanoke just West of Grapevine. Keep an eye on Craigslist for Mavs. There are usually a couple in there.

    OK, some good news....

    Hi guys:

Been at least a week, been busy with work and had kinda disappeared for a few - Gene, need to get back with you, sorry....

ANYWAY - get a call from a guy last Friday (have known this guy for a few years, used to work with him and had told him about my interest in Mavericks)....conversation goes something like:

    Me: Hello?
Him: If you want a Maverick for FREE, XXXXX has one.
    Me: Huh?
Him: Yeah, I was talking to XXXXX the other day and mentioned you were looking for a Maverick. He laughed, then told me since he was working again, he wanted to get rid of the one he had. He had set it aside looking for something to work on in his spare time, but now he doesn't need it.
Me: :)hmmm:) - Flurry of questions - What year is it? Is it running? Where is it? Does he have a title? What kind of shape is it in?
    Him: (Long winded response snipped)...
    >>It's a two door
    >>It's an early seventies model (unknown yet)
    >>It has two motors, 6 cylinders, bored out, out of the car (not running, obviously)
    >>He has the title
    >>We will look at it THIS COMING SATURDAY.

Ladies and gents, FREE IS GOOD. FREE IS WHAT WE'RE TALKING ABOUT. I will follow this up as soon as I have more for you. Yippie!!:thumbs2:

So, I guess this is how the madness begins. I have been looking at Pintos (OK, calm down :naughty:), but a FREE MAVERICK is really, really great. You know, when the motor is already out, a V8 swap is a lot easier :bananaman

    Kudos!!
