Body is pretty rusty(floors/trunk)and has had some bondo work on the right quarter(it's falling back out)but how about the parts; A pretty good sport wheel w/stallion horn button disc brakes straight small bumpers w/brackets.Chromes shot but they are exellent to paint/rechrome. v8 frame stands/trans crossmember(no belly bar) grabber hood-1 rust hole on the backside about 1/4" in diameter.Otherwise solid, although it had hoodpins. good drivers door w/a sport mirror an early mustang shifter that looks like it will clean up decent all for the low,low price of $300.Between this one,the rusty roof '74 Comet LDO,and the silver '73 I got from DonO,there's enough stuff to make a pretty good car.Now if I could just find the right body to bestow all this stuff onto, I'd be stylin'
Yea,I lucked up.The guy wanted $500,I asked what his bottom dollar was,he said I'll take $300 and I said SOLD.This was Monday,I hadn't even seen the car(but it's been around the area for a long time.I had seen it about 2 years ago)but I knew it was a good deal as long as it wasn't wrecked up(and it's been engine-less for at least 5 years)so I told him I'd be there this wknd w/cash in hand.It also helped that everything else sitting around his place(save for an old 4cyl ranger and a cut up dodge ramcharger)was Chevrolet.
if you moved the spoiler stands towards the outside of the wing it would probably look a little better.
I see nothing wrong with that. Needs to be scrubbed and shined is all. Oh, and installed on my Comet! You should see mine...LOL
Erm...I found it in a ditch. I think it came off a truck bed cover. It's very thick and goofy. Wife HATES it. I have another that is in bad shape that is adjustable but I can't do it justice so there it sits.
Tim...I would suggest getting some heftier straps to tie a car down to your trailer. Those "hooks" would bend pretty easily in the event of stress.
