Header install

Now that the Headers are here(thanks Limeade!), what else do I need besides the obvious pipes and mufflers?
My car has PS so I need some sort of bracket maybe?

Also, I installed the floor shifter and I'll be removing all the rods and crapola from the old column shift soon enough.

 

What kinda headers did you get?

There is a bracket that drops the power steering ram...



You will most likely have to remove or at least loosen the motor mounting bolts and jack the motor up. One header will (hopefully) slide in from the top, the other will have to come in from underneath, so be sure the car is WAY HIGH on jackstands before you jack up the motor.

 

By the way, that is an old picture. It no longer leaks that bad and it no longer has that bracket, or the power steering.

 

The shifter looks great! The headers though...I really can't wait.

 

I was intrested in the headers to see if they are the full size, coating etc...
the shifter is intresting but I couldn't use it for quick shifts, the way I shift anyway...

LMAO!!! That shifter knob owns them all.

 

I have no idea what coating is on them. They are full length though and are completely dipped in awesome.

I bet that shifter is gonna be hard on the knuckles as close as it is to the package tray....
