I spent some time with Dale and his father at the Air and Space Museum and both of them also knew a lot about planes. Really a great bunch of Maverickers .
Hey Earl I was up there as well and man it was awesome. It was my first time going there and will do it again next year. I walked about 8 miles that day and got alot of fine pictures. By the way I think I got a few pictures of your Mav right before you lauched it off the line LOL !! Check it out
Yes, it was a good time at the Cruise. I met up with Earl, and it was good to meet up with a fellow Mavericker. Towards the end of the Cruise, I followed Earl in his Maverick as we drove down Woodward.
Thank you John for the kind words. Including yourself, I have met some great people that own Mavericks and Comets. Thanks. I think my dad knows more about cars made from the 1920's to the 1940's. I picked up what I know about those cars from him. I know a little more about cars from the 1960's and newer.
Dale, I am sorry I couldn't hook up with you and Earl, but we had to leave about 2:00 to go to a wedding in Grand Rapids. One of our friends son had it scheduled and wouldn't change it for me. I was out there Tues., Thurs., and Fri., so I didn't do too bad. On Fri. night I did hook up with the guy from Dearborn who has a Maverick the same color as mine. I am taking my car to Milan on Sunday to see what it will do in the 1/4 mile. See you later. Lee "THE MAV" Richart
Hello Lee. No problem. That's good you were able to make it to the Cruise, and then travel halfway across the state to get to Grand Rapids. Glad you got to see the guy from Dearborn. Hopefully you had a good run at Milan.
I like the yellow challenger I've been there twice and it is by far the best cruise ever. Reno Hot August Nights is a joke compaired to Woodward and Reno charges ya to be there. Next year I'd like to go again.... If I get brave, I'll bring my Maverick.
