well this question poped up in my mind......What bulbs fir ou cars and has anybody gotten different colors or bulb (blue for example) ?
I have the "city lights" in my '71.....the halogen bulbs are tinted blue, the city lights have a red bulb. When I turn on the park lights......the headlights are a soft pink. Yes, PINK......got a problem with that.
get a hella housing they are like $40 bucks... then you can run an H4... brighter then any sealed beam... you'll be very happy! ok nevermind they went up in price.... they use to be $29 bucks... lol! anyways here a link http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=HLA%2D002395991&N=700+115&autoview=sku but again you will be very happy with the differance! btw any of you guys looking to run 1156 or 1157 LED lights for turn signals... i got a line on them and also how to make them not blink so fast.
Mine have the replacable H4 bulb.....I found them on "evilbay" for $18 a pair(that was a couple years ago)
terry, posted this link a while back, are they like these? http://autolumination.com/1156_1157.htm ......
yes like that but you gotta get the right one for our tails and front turn signals... those are a bit expensive. i think i can get them for almost half that price. also you still need the right relay to get them to stop blinking so fast. running inline resistors are mickey mouse.
Hey Derrick, when you say not blinking so fast, are you saying that normally they blink fast stock? why do you want to slow them down?
if you have ever put LED in a car they blink faster then normal.. and i when i mean fast i mean FAST! like 3 to 4 times a second. the reason is LEDs run on less voltage and when you put a full 12v to them they blink like mad! make sense?
