http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/70-7...7QQihZ004QQcategoryZ33583QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItemGuys I bought the suspension kit that Laurel Mountain Mustangs sells on Ebay. I installed them on my baby blue 74 Grabber this weekend. This car had new coil springs (Grab a Track) & perches installed before I purchased the car. The funny thing is that when I jacked the car up & removed the wheels I was able to remove both coil springs without compressing them. After I installed the new upper & lower control arms I tried to put the coil springs back in & had to compress them a bunch to get them back in.:hmmm: I compared these Grab a Track Springs to stock spings & they are about 3 inches shorter. They seem stiffer & larger diameter than stock. The real dilema is that now my front end sits about an inch taller? Could this be from the wear in my old upper Control Arm Bushings????

I would like to know how it rides compared with stock suspension.

It will be a week or two until I will have time to take it in for a Front Alignment. I will let you know then how it rides.

It will most likely settle a bit in time and get lower

Could be they were cut when they were installed. I bought a new set of coils for mine and had to cut them a lot. Untouched they made my front end look like a 4 wheeler.

    I've had a few
I agree... when I rebuilt the suspension on the '72 (new upper and lower control arms, spring perches, poly strut rod bushings (I don't reccomend those), poly sway bar end links, and converted to disc brakes and installed new '76 spec. outer tie rod ends) it took a couple of weeks for the front end to really settle back down to where it was before. It was sitting much higher in the front at first. I didn't touch the stock '72 front springs either, just took them out and put them back in with new poly bushings up in the top of the shock towers. After driving for a few weeks, the front end had settled back down to pretty much where it used to be.

Two 1973 LDO Mavericks (one 4 Drag one 4 driving like Mad on the roads :) ) also have a 75 6cyl Stock! Ok, well sort of Stock :P
mike even if the stock springs were fine you'd still be sitting higher then normal... those springs are gonna need to be cut... remember the post you ask about this kit ;) also how were the lower control arms? rivets or tack weld?

Got the front end alignment today & it rides great & is very tight, however there is an annoying popping noise coming equally from both sides. Not a metal popping more like rubber popping as you hit bumps. Is this normal? Will this stop? Anyone else had this happen when replacing there suspension?

Frank this is what the description on Ebay stated:
    ALL IN NON SQUEAK MIDOLYNE.
    WHAT IS MIDOLYNE?
MIDOLYNE IS A MATERIAL THAT IS JUST AS HARD AND DURABLE AS POLYURETHANE BUT DOES NOT HAVE THAT ANNOYING SQUEAK AND MAINTAINCE THAT COMES ALONG WITH USING POLY BUSHINGS.

Did you grease everything....balljoints, tie rods, etc? I had the same noises on mine. Once I greased it....they stopped.
