c4 to T5 pics. and info need...

    doing a t5 swap in a '69.5 and would like to hear from some that have done this. :yup:
    any help would be nice (pics).:Handshake

    I dont have pics but I'm still in the progress so I might be able to help a little since its still fresh on the mind. You will need new flywheel bolts (I got ARP bolts) because the C4 bolts are not long enough. I also had to get 4 longer bellhouse bolts. 2 of the factory bolts will fit the 2 top holes. Crossmember was hard for me because I cant weld but I did get it to work but it had to be hacked on. I could not us the factory trans mount bushing. I had the maverick & the mustang bushing & neither one would work for me. I'm having a rubber company here make me one. Hope this help a little.

    In the '69.5, it will not clear in the transmission tunnel without modifications. Either a BFH, or cutting the transmission tunnel.

    could someone tell me if the starter is the same for both transmissions?

    I do not, never got that far with the '69.5 body. You may try contacting the member "bmcdaniel", I know he has a '70 with a T5 in it. He explained to me he had to cut the top of the transmission tunnel and weld more metal in to create more room.

    I have a 77 & i was told to get the starter that matches the trans. you also need the 28 oz 157 flywheel.
