Well I decided to make some aluminum copies of the Jaguar hubs. Since this car doesn't have dangerous wheel spacers I though I would make some super dangerous hubs No but, real reason is I need to pull the wheels in about a 1/4" so they won't rub, also alot lighter than jag stuff, and to challange myself. The last reason is I never liked how I change from the chevy bolt pattern to the Ford. It worked and the car didn't have any wheel bounce I just didn't feel comfirtable. Here are some pictures of the progress
Tom You took a large peace of aluminum billit and made hole bunch of chips . Nice part good work . JAY
Haas VF1 we have had it for about 9 months and I love the thing. Although I wish I would have ordered the VF4, I didn't know I could intill it was to late. One of the other bases I visited to lern how to draw and program had a VF5 which would be the altimate.
Yea, know what you mean. My shop is gonna get a Super VF3 pretty soon, they are nice machines. Haas makes some very user friendly machines. So what alloy did you make the hubs out of?
Stop the madness.. people machining their own hubs is just out of my minds of of possible things to do.... If I were to ever hit a multi mullion $$$ lottery or something I would have the ultimate machine shop/garage to do stuff like that in. I have always loved to fabricate stuff, just never have the time, tools or Money to do it and do it right. I have a few small fab projects under my belt but nothing like machining my own hubs LOL... That's just too awesome
Here is the finished product. Soon as I get the engine back in I will be able to tell if the change worked the way I wanted
