Hey....I just spent the last 15 min typing in a fairly lengthy post on me and my Maverick and it DID have a title but cleared every thing out for lack of one according to the site. Anyway, I've been checking out this site a while and like it alot. Special thanks to Rick Book for getting me involved with this site and fanning the flames on my want to work on my Mav. My Maverick is my first car. It is a 1973 2D W/36,800 orig miles. I've had it 20 years. It was a 6 cyl, now a 306, about 400 HP (at the fly wheel, not the wheels. I put it together 17 years ago - non roller - 11.77 @ 114 mph). Anyway I have brake problems and before I spend 300 dollars on new drums (5-lug) I would like some opinions. Remember that I am financially challanged from 3 teenage daughters and a 5 year old son. ( yeah I know there is a bit of an age difference between the last daughter and the boy...........the TV went out in the bedroom about 6 years ago...........what were we supposed to do?)
THAT is what is really cool about this site...lots of friendly people and an (almost) endless supply of parts to trade. Welcome aboard, and can't wait to see pics
