Yeah I went today. Dad didn't run the Mustang and I'm sure he will post later. The Mulligan race was fun but I will have second thoughts about doing it again. Went 10 rounds (there were only 52 cars in our class), won the footbrake division and had to run a super pro car for the final. Had some trouble at the burnout box but I don't think it affected me any (just took a deep breath and went on about my business) but I ended up red lighting against a 5.00 Dragster so I lifted early and eased back to the pit area. I don't know how bad the red was but I would guess a -.020 (.480-ish).

the "mulligan" race is where you can buy back in any round except the final, but only once. I bought back in the...I think 5th or 6th round. They were running cars so fast that I was not able to keep track of which round was which and how many cars were left. When it got down to 3 cars I was able to keep track a little easier:thumbs2:. I did manage to squeak out a 5.99/115 early this morning before the air went away. That was fun. Also had a hard time judging the finish line because I'm so used to running 1000' instead of 1/8 mile. Had to run a front engine dragster in the 7th round, beat him...and he bought back and I had to run him AGAIN in the 8th round, and beat him again & sent him home. Beating dragsters is always fun...especially in a door car. Only used 5 gallons of alky all day and about a gallon and a half of pump fuel (idles on gas, races on alky) so that was nice.

    Awesome numbers, Todd.

'Grats on getting as far as you did. That must feel nice to outrun a dragster... TWICE!

You sound like me on the red-light/let-off yellow ("loser") slips. I used to have a pile of them wadded up in the back floor board. Pffft..

We spent the weekend getting Dad's big block back into the Thunderbird. He wiped out a cam bearing a year ago and it tore up the cam, a few lifters, two pushrods, two rockers, and three titanium valves.

Got it all back together and into the car yesterday. Fired it up around 2pm today. Sounds great!!! Damn 512" has the throttle response of a hi-po 289. Everything looks great except for a drip coming from the rear of the pan. Nothing to even worry about but Dad is such a damn stickler for details that he is worrying his butt off about it. Anyway.....he has to get the front end aligned this week and we will be heading to the FFW race in Belle Rose, Louisiana on Friday. Should be good for some 9-oh's at 155 or so. We'll see.

I'll have Butch down there too. Going after another Ultra Stang win and might enter some footbrake brackets too.

I raced in the PSCA this weekend in Fontana, CA. Lost in the third round by red light:slap: again. I red light way too often, but we use a pro tree, which is a little bit tricky.

Got to meet another board member, LuckyIrishPride. We had fun hanging out. Fun times.

That is amazing man. Some of us know how hard it is just to go 1 round, but 10 rounds, that is Great!

Yeah, it was really cool to meet you Erick!!!

The guy I was with, who was driving the 69 Chevelle ended up going into the Finals in the Bracket 1 Category, and got runner up.... Lost because he had a -.21 Red Light, to his competitors -.19 Red Light....

We were all really happy because he still got a trophy and $200.00
