ok, to be perfectly honest with you all, i am indeed a chevy guy. however, i just bought a '76 maverick. it only has 26,000 miles on it and has been garage kept for its entire life span ( obviously excluding the time it was driven ). i was thinking of turning around and selling it because i got the thing for the rediculously low price of $750 i couldnt pass it up. the car is in perfect condition. all original, factory air and heat both work excellently. i was trying to get a guage on how much i could let it go for. any body got a clue for me?
Hi Bigkat79 Sounds like you made a killing. What's the engine and trans? What color? Bench seats or buckets? Is it a 2 door or 4 door? Two doors are worth more. Four doors are usually in better condition. Post a few pictures, and more information. Even with a 200 six if it is as clean as you say, you should be able to get twice what you paid. But why not keep it and drive it awhile. We always like to convert Chevy guys to the joys of Maverick ownership. Roz
there not worth much. if you want your money back i'll give you the $750 so you don't lose anything. j/k sounds like a good deal. like the others have said. it depends on wether it's a 2 or 4 dr., what engine it's got in it, what options it has. you can get a better idea if you can post some pictures of it.
They are not worth a dime...send it to me and I will dispose of it for you at no charge, lol...sounds like you did a great deal and pics are a good thing...Jim
Chevy man , I think you should give it to Yellow72maverick, You won't like it, people will stare at you.
Gotta have them! I say keep it and send your other chevy's to the crusher! :bananaman Just kidding. Sounds like you got a steal for sure.
i'll get those pics. its a two door with a 250 engine, auto. trans, white exterior with blue vinyl bench seats, power stearing.
long over due, but here's the pics...... http://www.motortopia.com/album/vie...1069/a/3743/i/the_first_day_i_brought_it_home
The positive: Rust Free and 2-door and no fugly side trim. The negative: No other options to bump the price up higher (i.e. 302 or stick shift or buckets, etc ...) That would be an awesome car for a small bumper swap. I would think $2500 to $3000 would be reasonable just due to the fact is has no rust. If I got that car for $750 I'd be doing backflips ...
