Well.. ever since I put my Edelbrock 4 barrel and manifold on my 302.. the exhaust sounds different... Like I know that I can actually hear the carb sucking in air now.. but the exhaust sounds a bit deeper or something.. anyone else experience this?
Maybe you hear secondaries open, never had a 4bbl on mine someone swapped it for a 2bbl when i got it.....cant wait to fire mine up getting the rebuilt kit on monday http://img72.imageshack.us/my.php?image=1carb004oe1.jpg
Under full throttle it should sound deeper , at idle it should be the same as the 2bbl unless the 2bbl fuel/air ratio was off.
i just got finished installing myn today was going to put pics but having truble with the camera but i notesed a big difference in sound but i love it its perfect
Not wanting to hijack the thread but what's the general concensus, should the crossover be blocked or not? and why?
at a time of $3.50 plus a gal you put a 4 bbl on it! j/k ok i shouldn't talk. sucking is normal... for exhaust sound.. maybe more gas! more pwr... more noise... lol! its used to warm up the carb area in general when it is cold. its like a choke... well not like one but same purpose... IMO you don''t need it.. sit in the car and step on the gas
Woo! I have to post some pics of it... as I did this actually quite some time ago, but I only have a picture with the air cleaner covering everything
