I talked to Tracy-(passinwind) in Denton Tx there is a large junkyard that has up to 20 mavericks along with a lot of other classic cars. The web site is www.ctcautoranch.com There are several catagories to choose from. It maybe worth a look he does ship also.

That garage is like heaven for me.

"1972 Ford Factory Grabber, Power-steering, factory air, 302, bench-seat car, good body, needs restoration, the rarest maverick, the rarest year only $1,995.00"
...I didn't know the 72 was the rarest year... I would think that 71 would be more desirable cuz of the compression of the v8 and the bumpers and stuff...? Is there something that I'm missing?

Actually....1975 is the rarest year of Maverick. That doesn't necessarily translate to "most desireable"

I have bought many things from that yard over the years for other cars I own. First rate operation!

A lot of people are under the "assumption" that the 1972 model was the only model year with the "grabber" hood.... I think we know that there were 1971's with that hood as well. Before the internet age I was one of those peeps. For years I always thought that 72 Grabbers were the only cars with the dual fake scoops on the hood....
