On page 72 on the section of Home Built heros is a picture of a Mav. Bad part is, it is showing not how to take a picture. Who's Maverick is it? It would get my vote in the dirt or not!

yeah, i just seen that tonight. thought it was pretty funny actually. probably just something someone sent in trying to get their car in a magizine, not thinking people were going to make fun of it hahaha. figures they use a mav a their punchline. looked nice, dont recgonize it as a regular on here though

Yeah it's too bad that is shown how not to do something. It would be great though if someone in the forum could win the home built heros thing.

I think those guys are full of crap with their photography tips. I say that if a picture looks good, it IS good. They have all these stupid rules like you can never have the windows down. What if the car doesn't have windows? What if it's a convertible? I don't care if the car is on dirt. It looks good.

I think the most important thing with photographing cars is the lighting...

Will a Maverick ever grace the hallowed pages of hot Rod Magazine? I mean like... how long's it been?

    agreed, good point

it was a very nice 2dr small bumper car, blue/silver 2 tone i i remember right. they got on him about having the tire pointed out to the right on a dr, side pic and also that is was in the dirt on the side of the road. they say cars should be photographed in their "natural habitat" so unless its an off road car only take pics of it on the street

I think they might have put this in because of me......

Jerry Pitt, publisher of Hot Rod, and David Freiburger stop by my shop sometimes, and I told them they needed to put a maverick in hot rod!!!
