I had to laugh

Thought you might get a kick out of this.

One of the “joys” of living in California and having cars is the smog police. Even though my ’72 grabber is now exempt from the state smog rules. The (San Francisco) “Bay Area Air Quality Management District” sent me a letter about a vehicle buy back program.

They are offering me $650.00 to take my Maverick to an approved auto dismantler to buy it and scrap it. The idea is to improve air quality by getting 1985 and older cars that are still being driven off of the street.

I think I’ll pass. I’m having to much fun working on it.

Crisis on the West Coast!

Does this mean refugee Mavericks are going to be pouring into the rest of the country in order to avoid going to Ford heaven forever? I'll volunteer to house a couple!

 

I have a couple of Mavericks I'll sell them for $650 when I get finished with them

 

Only $650......They can take that offer and stick it where the sun don't shine........the crazy smog police

write them a letter back and offer them $650 for whatever they're driving then offer to burn it in front of their house but maybe that's just my thoughts...lol
