When I upgraded the forum, I could not upgrade the timeslip database as there was no upgrade path for it, just a new version. I did not want to "overwrite" the old timeslips with the new version as the old timeslip data would have been lost and there still would still be traces of the old one left behind (which could be problematic in the future).

I had manually remove parts of the old program and modify the installation of the new one so the old data would be preserved. I tested it out on a backup and everything seemed ok. Now I have to do it all over again on the real forum.

I need about an hour to perform this conversion and will do it on Sunday afternoon (unless something comes up). While converting, the forum will be closed and once the conversion is done, I want everyone to test out the conversion. The sooner any problems are reported to me, the better, as I will try and fix them right away. If I cant, I will have to restore the database from before the conversion, which will result in posts being lost.

Sounds like a lot of work. I'd have no problem just entering my timeslip again.

    I second that.

Most people probably have outdated info on there anyway...

And get back ON TOP OF THE WEATHER(y)

Hoping you feel better! As courier said, we could reenter our time slips if that would help!

I still would have had to remove the old one to do a clean install.
