Dodge Charger R/T seats are AWESOME! The 300 has a high line package with the same seats too. They have massive side bolsters and just look like they should fit like a glove. I didn't get to sit in a set, but I sure thought they would look cool in a Mav. No rear access though I am sure. Dave BTW: Edit: How would these look in a Mav? They do have rear access.
Mean Maverick; I used Honda Civic seats, '96 vintage. You have to make the brackets for the seat tracks, but I think they are worth it. Go here to take a look. http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=21255 Take care, Earl
I have posted this pic a couple times before...but here are '93 Ford Probe seats in my Maverick: The seats are rather wide and are a tight fit. My car does not have a catylitic converter, and the install was not real hard. I had to add spacers for the inboard rear mounting holes. None of the original holes lined up. I currently have large washers to help stop the seats from ripping from the floor in a crash...but I would feel better if I tied a flat steel bar across the rear two bolts from underneath or something. I have found the seats to be really confortable and I think they look pretty cool in a Mav. These ones originally had black and white leather covers, but I dyed the white yellow to go with my crazy color scheme. I also have to give credit to PART-TIME...I saw pics of his Mav with these same seats and "stole" his idea.
I just scored some brand new seats at the junkyard out of a '01 escort I think, but they are nice and all I had to do was bend the brackets since it was a new car the tracks are very easy to bend compared to those out of a 71 chevelle lol. You can see them at http://www.htr701.be/gallery/v/Maverick+040.jpg.html Yeah if you get some seats like these just get some clamps and use some muscle and they fit pretty easy. BtW: ratio411 I'll trade you my seats for those black ones that you have! Those charger seats are from the SRT-8 Version and I too wish I had them, maybe I'll buy some and stick them in my maverick!
Sorry, those are not mine. I clipped the pic from eBay. They are 92-96 Vette seats. They are optional 'sport' versions. Very comfortable and do have fold forward ability. I would like to get a set and have them recovered in a Ford-like pattern. Very clean install with the Escort seats! I don't really have a need for custom seats right now. I am working on my Sprint and want to keep it original looking. So I am recovering a set of 71-73 Stang seats for it. My 75 will get something like the Vette seats one day... but it is on hold till the 72 is done. Dave
Mavmark, I know this an old post, but what is that center council out of? I'm considering probe seats as well
Take a look at post #15 - in this thread - carpet??? and pictures of seats please | Maverick/Comet Forums
That console is aftermarket and called a "Humphugger". I got the one for a early Mustang. I think at the time I bought it from Auto Krafters, but it looks like it is still available and from lots of other places...and in all kinds of colors as well. Here's a link to one of the places I found it: https://www.cupholdersplus.com/1964-1973-ford-mustang-humphugger-console.html
