I have a 1973 comet gt, and I’m having trouble taking off the filler tube from the gas tank. I’ve taken all the bolts and screws off (I think) and I can’t figure out why it’s not coming off even when I use force. It might be something simple I really don’t know all that much about this stuff. All of the YouTube videos are on mustangs and they have clamps which the comet doesn’t.

Some lube will help. You will need to remove the (4) phillips screws that hold down the trunk floor seal around the tube. Also take a flathead screwdriver and poke it around between the tube and the gas tank seal to help break the grip of the seal on the tube. It really helps to have a strap wrench so that you can PULL and TWIST at the same time on the tube. It will come out.
