I can make either work, just have to do some planning on how to get the Mav back to Glendale. Should be able to test drive it from the transmission rebuild next weekend. I have a box full of parts (plugs, oil, belts, Etc,) that have to go on, then out the door for a test drive (assuming it will start again after all that work). So I can make either weekend work. Hopefully others will chime in and we can get a few cars and enthusiasts together.
Anyone have a front coil spring from a 6 cly Mav the could part with. I cut down one of mine but want to go back to uncut height. Thanks.
Gene, what is your preference? November is a three day weekend for me so that makes it a little easier to get up and get the car. I don't remember where we met last time, but I'm good either weekend as I'll probably trailer the car down on that Sunday and just stop by the meet, then take it on home to Glendale, so even out East Valley is good. I do have some loose parts I'll bring along. Have some tail lights, trim pieces, and some NOS hub caps I'll have along if any one is interested. Hope everyone else can bring their extra parts along too as I'm always looking for something and maybe we can get some horse trading done between us.
Actually I was thinking December might be better so guys can get their stuff ready...but so far I have only heard from you and Tim...can you hear the crickets I am hearing?? No one else? Surely Ryan can get that oil slick cleaned up under his car by December.
LOL... Sounds good. December is fine, lets go for it....I'll bring a bucket of oil dry if we need it.... So far my tranny isn't bleeding all over the place every time I start the car, so I should be good. Haven't been able to get it out of first gear yet, but it does back up. Hope a band adjustment now that I've moved it a few times should help.
Been out of town for 2 weeks on my honeymoon. Car is in project state now, doing some body work. Hope to make it!
Ok, so far for the mini-meet on Dec 10th we have Lee, Tim, Joe and Jason. Location and time yet to be determined. I'm up for suggestions. Anyone else interested in going? Spread the word!
The 11th is a Monday. You meant the 10th Gene. I'll load it on the trailer. As long as I don't have to actually make it move it will still look pretty!
Yes...Sunday the 10th was what I meant...brain fart! However, it has been suggested to maybe meet on Saturday night the 9th at the Mixteca car show at 67th Ave and Bell. What do you guys think?
