I know this has been hit on several times. The archives have some great articles about it. Just curious on what is absolutely necessary for this swap. This is what I know: -Motor belly bar -Transmission cross member -V8 engine (I know, but still thought i'd add it) -2 new motor mounts -1 transmission mount -I'll be using headers, so no need for manifolds. -250 or higher c4 transmission I've read several different threads and articles. They mention stuff like gas pedal, throttle linkage, coil springs. So I thought i'd ask what was absolutely needed, and what can be used from the original car with the inline 6. Thanks.
You can use the Six cylinder springs. You do not have to have the gas pedal. You do need the throttle cable.
Also if you are using headers I hope you have a floor shifter. Might also want a kickdown rod, you don't have to have it but it is nice to have.
A 250 radiator can be used but the 170/200 rad uses smaller hoses and probably can't handle the extra heat... You'll also need the complete front engine dress of brackets pulleys etc...
A front sump Ford oil pan is basically a front sump pan... Same was used on Fairlane, Falcon, Mustang, Galaxie, etc... Just be sure it IS front sump...
