    73 Grabber,
I'm about done with my restoration and had no idea that finding 3 point seat belt assemblies would be this difficult to find. I read lots of post in the forums but most seem to end without a complete answer. I have a 73 with bucket seats and a medium blue interior but at this point would settle for black. NOS or something close would be great as would aftermarket. Since the car is basically complete I'm not in a position to do any cutting or welding.

Thanks. Are you sure these are all direct bolt ins? Reading the forums I found that most folks did not seem satisfied with some of the aftermarket products. Some required repositioning bolt holes, etc
    Regards

Admittedly, I have not yet purchased any for my car. I'm still in the body work and engine repair phase. I've just been doing a lot of scouring of the internet for various parts sources and price comparisons. I know it's hard to tell with 100% certainty from the pictures on the sites but they at least look very much like the ones that came out of my car. I was under the impression that they are fairly universal based on the listings saying that they are of a standard length (60" or 72") and the hardware kits look like the same that were in my car before.

Not sure about their 3 points; but we have bought 3 sets of lap belts from Seat Belt Planet and have been extremely happy with them. They were direct bolt-ins.

They make their products to order and get them made and shipped out in a timely manner. They make a nice quality product at a fair price.

You might want to try NPD ( National Parts Depot) .. they have four areas in the USA and I've purchased seat belts
from them for four cars now .. They have them in colors .. Red , Black , Blue , Gray , etc. The one nearest you would
be the North Carolina Depot @ 800-368-6451 , or 704-331-0900 . They have a complete line of parts for Mustangs and many of them will fit OUR type cars. Ask for a free catalog for 65- to 73 Mustangs. They're open Monday through Sunday . Hope this info helps out.

We ordered another set for my dad's '70 Maverick with a bench seat. They look and work great.

Mine work ok with my bucket seats. I had to flip the buckle strap over in its plastic sleeve and use a hair dryer to shape the plastic so it pointed in the right direction. I also can't pull the belt down from the retractor without it locking up. I expected this to happen because of the angle I have to pull. I have an idea that might correct this. Once fastened they work just fine.

My seat belts don't have the plastic sleeve on the one's that mount to the trans hump. They are just 'loose'. I never liked those sleeves and purposely ordered mine without them. If you used my old PO something isn't correct.

The 3 point from Julianos that I installed tends to lock up also. Just curious, what is your idea for correcting this?
