AFAIK.. the higher priced pieces are the fully molded panels that cover the entire door.

Man those look good! Hopefully they will have an option for no window crank hole for those that want to add power windows.

On new door trim panels I have seen in the past, they have the hole for the crank in the fiberboard, but not in the vinyl, that leaves the power window option available.

I know this may be out of the question BUT can they be order WITH OUT window crank hole , I have power windows and my switches are in center console ??????????????????

 

I'm sure you have to cut all your own holes. It's not hard to do.

Yeah. but in the case where they don't know what holes you want cut and what holes you don't, they could do it that way. It would make the panels universal across all model years. I don't know how they plan to do it.

 

on IF they don't cut out Any of the holes through the vinyl but ONLY on the backing boards !!!

That way we can punch out the holes we actually need and as tight as we want them. Would be nice if 1 set of panels could work for EVERY Year door .... just a thought

 

IF they are smart, they will make just ONE backing board that would allow the buyer the option of using it on a different year mav. You decide which holes to use and then cut the vinyl in those areas.

I must have these. Can one of the gurus explain what each door panel would have came on? I am only familiar with 3 of the 5.

 

They can mark the panel with pin holes for all the different models of doors and the customer only need is to knock off the pice for your door model trim and and then cut the vinyl. Nice of them to have this on the market for us..

 

As promised, the door panels are now ready and have been added to Distinctive Industries website. Pricing will be determined by each vendor. Best to locate the part number of the door panel style you desire, then contact one of the vendors listed on Distinctive Industries website and ask them to quote you a price. Also have the part number in hand and explain to the vendor you call that it is a new item.
