Agreed... With TFS heads & their Stage1 cam, 2600 stall, 3.73 gears, plus at least 400Lb more weigh I could get 13.10s @ 105 out of my '88 T-Bird(it needed more stall).. BTW if your pistons don't have valve reliefs, you'd definitely want the TFS heads... I ran mine on pistons with no reliefs and .003 out of the hole for nine plus years...
3560, plus 200 for me... I drove it to Alliance and then over near Dayton, never skipped a beat, went to Carlisle five times...
very nice car and I too like that wing. it looks really good on your car is your car auto or stick? what size tires are those? drag radials or slicks? mighty fine looking car...... the first thing I thought was DANG thats a nice car
Hey look folks, there is a Maverick that runs, and very well, in Spokane. Great job on the Maverick, hope to be there soon. Bob (aka Maverocket) you see this?
The fron tires are 205/70/14 on grabber wheels the rear are 28x9x15 Hoosier slicks. My street tires are 235/70 15 and are the same 28" but are not as wide. it is a C4 with B&M rachet shifter. After being on this site there are alot of nice Mavericks and Comets out there!!
IMO, a shorter 26 or 27 inch tire will give you a better effective gear ratio and help your 60 foot and 1/4 mile times.
We we went out sunday and broke starter. replaced that car started vibrating and throttle cable broke. once we got back to pits the unknown engine started knocking. We I got till May 8th to get this motor appart and fixed for the first actual race. I guess I will now know what is in the motor. It will be a good time to replace the unknown cam. Well let the fun begin.
If your on a budget, I have a Crower flat tappet cam that was run in my street Mav in the 90's. It would be a good bracket cam, ran 13.0 @ 108 on street tires.
